Parents looking to make a difference

Anything that involves our children is an important issue to everyone and this election is at the top of the list. Two involved parents, Lara Lee Hogg (Place 5 incumbent) and Craig Allen also believe in the importance of our children and have committed them selves to the service of others and are compelled to run for the Keller School Board in this election. In this endeavor they have discovered they shared the same vision and level of achievement that is possible for KISD. Please take time to get to know the candidates this year and learn about the issues that affect you, our educators, and the children of KISD and VOTE. This year stand up and be counted because your vote will make the difference!

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or next door neighborhood each of us in Keller ISD has an opportunity in this election to ensure the best possible education for the children in our community. In doing so it is our belief that this group of candidates would deserve of our vote on May 10th.

If you feel the same and would like to add your name to the supporter list or even become a volunteer please send an email to Support@parents4kisd.com

North Ft. Worth Alliance to Sponsor a School Board 2008 Voters Guide

The North Fort Worth Alliance is sponsoring a 2008 voters guide for the Keller ISD and Northwest ISD School Board elections.

Tarrant County is one of the fastest-growing counties of the United States fueled by growth in the Alliance corridor in North Fort Worth. This has led to significant growth challenges for the Keller and Northwest ISD, including school overcrowding and infrastructure coordination problems with the City of Fort Worth and other municipalities. The candidates will be asked to address these and other important issues.

The NFWA 2008 Voters Guide will be available April 24th. If you would like a copy of the 2008 Voters Guide please send an email request to the NWFA attention Colleen Demel at momdemel@hotmail.com

The election will take place on May 10, 2008, with early voting beginning on April 28, 2008, and ending on May 6, 2006.

The North Fort Worth Alliance is a group of active community members from 19 local neighborhoods. The Alliance was founded in March of 2006 and became a registered member of the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Associations in July of the same year. Monthly meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at 9:30 am at Cheddars on I-35 and Heritage Trace. Everyone is welcome.
